Tifo of the Month : May 2015
A period of jubilant celebration, or a period of reflection and solace. For thousands of football fans the month of May signals a time of high drama and even higher emotional investment. For others the end of the season cant come quick enough. As domestic championships are won and lost, European spots decided, cup competitions concluded, relegation and promotion play off’s fought, next seasons kits are revealed, and of course – open top bus parades are announced; deep down we are all dreading that summer football drought!
So, as the curtain fell on most of Europe’s domestic footballing calendar, we were treated to yet another batch of creative choreographies and artisitc tifos from ultras across the continent. There is a heavy German influence in this month’s selection, including the Sudtribune’s farewell to Jurgen Klopp, and Hansa Rostock’s unique pitbull and scarf tifo – intricately pulled together through the use of stolen fan paraphernalia!
